Careful attention to the following steps often will restore a sulfated battery to good operating condition.<\/p>\n
Although the specific gravities may be lower than normal, they should not vary much from cell to cell. If they do, problems other than sulfation may be present. If the spread between the highest and lowest specific gravity readings is 50 points (.050) or more, call Forklift Express to analyze your battery. If the battery has not responded to the above treatment, it should be replaced. The final specific gravity of a battery depends upon depth of discharge, temperature, its initial specific gravity, and battery type.
